Welcome to Azahar

A short introduction to the community and your apartment: entrance, your block, the pools, the gardens and the things you need to know for your stay.

Welcome! This short video explains everything you need to know for your stay. Below it you will find the house rules, waste and recycling, the pools, parking and who to call.

Good to know

Welcome! Azahar de Estepona is a gated residential community of seven low-rise blocks around Mediterranean gardens and swimming pools. Most of your neighbours live here all year round, so we kindly ask you to treat the community as their home.

This page brings together everything you need for a relaxed stay: short instruction videos for your apartment, the house rules, waste and recycling, the pools, parking and the numbers to call in an emergency.

Your host or rental agent remains your first point of contact for questions about your apartment and your booking.

A few simple rules keep the community pleasant for residents and guests alike:

  • Please keep noise to a minimum in the evening and at night, especially on terraces and around the pools.
  • Music and parties that can be heard outside the apartment are not allowed.
  • The number of guests staying in the apartment may not exceed the number agreed with your host.
  • Do not hang towels or laundry over balcony railings.
  • Barbecues are not permitted on terraces.
  • Please keep the gates and building doors closed behind you and never let strangers in.
  • Pets are welcome only if agreed with your host and must be kept on a lead in the community.

The full internal rules (Normas de Régimen Interior) are available from your host.

Spain separates waste by colour. Please take your rubbish to the containers at the waste area — never leave bags in the corridors, on the landing or next to the containers.

  • Yellow — plastic packaging, cans and cartons (tetra packs).
  • Blue — paper and cardboard. Please flatten boxes.
  • Green — glass bottles and jars (no lids).
  • Grey / green lid — general household waste in a closed bag.

Please do not leave bulky items (furniture, appliances) at the waste area. Ask your host how to dispose of them.

The pools are for residents and their guests. To keep them safe and clean:

  • Shower before entering the pool.
  • No glass, food or drinks in the pool area.
  • No diving, running or ball games.
  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Sunbeds cannot be reserved with towels — please free them when you leave.
  • Please respect the opening hours shown at the pool and keep noise down for the neighbours around it.

If your apartment comes with a parking space, your host will give you a remote control for the garage gate and the number of your space.

  • Park only in the space assigned to you — other spaces belong to residents.
  • The gate closes automatically. Wait until it has closed before driving away.
  • Do not leave the remote control in the car.
  • Visitor parking is not available inside the community. Please use the public parking nearby.

In an emergency, call 112 (free, 24/7, English spoken). This single number connects you to ambulance, fire brigade and police.

  • 112 — all emergencies
  • 061 — medical emergencies (ambulance)
  • 091 — National Police
  • 092 — Local Police Estepona
  • 062 — Guardia Civil

For anything about your apartment (keys, appliances, Wi-Fi) please contact your host or rental agent first. The community board does not manage rentals.

On the day of departure, please:

  • Switch off the air conditioning, lights and appliances.
  • Close all windows and shutters.
  • Take your rubbish to the containers.
  • Leave the keys and the garage remote as agreed with your host.

Thank you for staying with us — we hope to see you again at Azahar de Estepona.
